The Difference Between HTML Sitemap and XML Sitemap

Site map:
Sitemap (or sitemap) is a list of pages available on the website crawlers or users. It can be a document in any form used in the design tool for web design or web page that lists the pages of the Web site, typically organized in a hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

What is The Difference Between HTML Sitemap and XML Sitemap?

 

HTML Sitemaps - help humans navigate your website : HTML site map is used to list all the links in the various sections and pages of your blog / site. These links are usually listed hierarchically, and can provide a description for each link. There is no doubt that the addition of an HTML site to your website blog / help your visitors navigate and find information easily. HTML site has been created to give priority to human beings.

HTML sitemaps are:
1.Considering all browsers, including Firefox, IE and Opera.
2.Scanned by search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.

While an HTML site map is created for your visitors, such as Googlebot indexing bot could have a better chance to review your first time missing links again when all files are set up in your sitemap page.

XML Sitemaps Protocol - also called Google Sitemaps : It allows webmasters to inform search engines about URLs on your blog / site for easy indexing. XML sitemap is created for search engines but not to humans. Submit an XML sitemap to search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN will not only help your blog / website will be indexed quickly and efficiently, but also increase your blog / website visibility 's in the search engines as well.

Information about XML Sitemaps Protocol:
1.Each XML Sitemap file can contain up to 50,000 URLs and 10 MB in size.
2.It is possible to connect XML sitemaps 1000 using a Sitemap index file.
